We enjoyed a nice lunch at Burger King (Gavin's choice). He only spent a few minutes playing afterwards and then was all ready to go to school. I was able to crutch my way into the school to witness his send-off and surprisingly there were no tears shed-by either of us! He seemed to have enjoyed his time at school and was the proud wearer of a special birthday crown. We topped the night off by enjoying a quiet dinner, just the three of us. He had several phone calls throughout the day. When my sister called and asked who was on the other end, he proudly identified himself as the "birthday boy."
For months his only birthday present request has been a green arctic cat snowmobile. Do you know how hard these little things are to find? Not to mention the amount of money they cost!?! Well, my mom and I took a road trip to Country Cat in Sauk Centre last week to find the perfect one. He was ecstatic! See picture below for proof!
It's still hard for me to believe that it has been four years since he was born. I remember all the details of his birth like they were yesterday. Never once could I imagine the nice little boy he would grow into. His tender heart is sure to melt his mama's heart on any given day. His attention to detail makes makes me gleam and he seems to have his Daddy's athletic abilities (Praise God). We are very blessed to have such a special little boy in our lives. Happy Birthday to our Gavin, we are so proud of you!
